New York: C.M. Saxton, 1859. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Publisher's blind-embossed green cloth with gilt spine lettering. xiv, 338pp. Tissue-guarded frontispiece. Very good. Faint edgewear; yellow front flyleaf glued down; occasional foxing throughout. A tight, decent later printing of this biography (first published 1855) by the popular American biographer (1823-63).
