Favill, A Doctor "Who Had Taken A Keen Interest In Preventive Medicine, Public Health, And Civic Reform." Smith Provides An Anecdote In The Book About "An Eminent Chicago Physician" Which No Doubt Refers To Favill. Brown Boards With Orange Nouveau Motif, Gilt Lettering And Gilt Which Has Retained Some Of Its Brilliance. The Spine Ends And Corners Are Rubbed. Photograph Of The Author As Frontispiece With Tissue Guard. There Is Some Underlining In The Book With Blue Pencil. The Rear Hinge Is Cracked And Some Of The Endpaper Is Torn.
