Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Company, 1975. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. First US edition, very good in a very good dust jacket. Owner name and note "from publishers/ 27 Jan 1977" on front endpaper. Edges of boards are slightly darkened, as is the front hinge in the first few pages. The jacket has a little edgewear, and the spine is sunned a few shades lighter brown than the rest of the jacket. Czechoslovakian Chief of Military Intelligence leading up to WWII, he defected and helped the British forecast the Third Reich's military maneuvers.
