About This Item

Garland Publishing Inc., New York, first edition, 1975. Cloth, 8vo,. xxii, 588 pp. From a contemporary review: "Professor Horn's Survey lists nearly 600 items full of praise and spite related to the first Duke of Marlborough and his Duchess, Sarah. It 'does not pretend to be a formal bibliography' but endeavours to 'supply identifications for the large body of literary pamphleteering relative to Marlborough'. Documents are described, dated, and located. A short introduction is provided for each period of the pamphlet war, and there are indexes of names and titles". Top edge slightly spotted, otherwise Very Good.
