Stamped number on front flyleaf. Light scuffing to slipcase and dust jacket.). Blue imitation leather boards with gilt design and lettering; white dust jacket, color illustrated with blue and black lettering; color illustrated flyleaves, bw illustrated frontispiece, xii, 623 pp, illustrated throughout in bw and several color illustrations, maps, and plans. Issued in a matching blue imitation leather slipcase with gilt design. Along with the book is a blue folder containing two large, folded leaves of bw maps. A survey of the Mameluke architecture in Jerusalem carried out by the British School of Archaeology in Jerusalem beginning in 1968. Large folded leaves issued in portfolio are titled: "Fig 14 Map showing the location of the Mamluk monuments" and "Fig 12.2 West Portico: Elevation". Includes bibliographical references (pages 613-615) and index. Includes additional historical research by D.S. Richards.
