London: William Heinemann Ltd., 1931. This First Printing from 1931 (preceding the American Edition) is in Very Good condition (click on photo). The book is bound in a deep green cloth, with die-stamped titles on the front panel and spine, as well as a logo of green against gilt showing the author's initials on the front panel. There is also top--edge green stain. The book shows shelf rubbing at the spine tips and corners, as well as a tiny 1/8-inch tear at the spine crown. The binding is tight and secure, with no signatures of former owners. The cream-colored text pages are clean and bright throughout. The book measures 5 1/4 by 7 1/2 inches and includes 349 pages. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
