Brown cloth cover in good condition for its age, wearing around edges, bumped and rubbed corners, wear at both ends of the spine. Front and back hinges worn, some tearing on the front hinge. Binding shows signs of wear also, but well-intact. Owner's inscription on front page, a few markings and annotations throughout the text, pages yellowed slighlty, original seller's stamp on inside back cover of book. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 255 pages .
Synopsis
A Little Tour in France is a book of travel writing by Henry James. Originally published under the title En Province in 1883–1884 as a serial in The Atlantic Monthly, the book recounts a six-week tour James made of many provincial towns in France, including Tours, Bourges, Nantes, Toulouse, Arles and several others. The first book publication was in 1884. A second, extensively revised edition was published in 1900.
