Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear.Book has a slight forward lean.

Covers rubbed at the extremities, lettering and decoration clear, bright and legible, good hinges, sound text block with some separation visible between the frontis illustration and half title, text pages quite age-browned but very clearly legible, untrimmed outer edges a little brittle, no names or other markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Hand-written inscription by author to her sister Margaret Pollard, dated November, 1907, on FFEP. 236pp+8pp Ernest Nister List, with date of cited Review from "The Queen", January, 1900. With 21 Chapters and 6 B/W line drawings by T.H. Robinson. Slight fading to blank page margins, all text unaffected. Minmalwear to top/tail of spine and corners, otherwise VG. . Very Good. Hardcover.
