Historical fiction centering on a Native American child, the relationship between Native Americans and English settlers in New England, and Christian conversion. Blue pictorial cloth printed in gilt, black, light blue and blue-green, top edges gilt, outer edges untrimmed, 236 pages. Covers rubbed at the extremities, lettering and decoration clear, bright and legible, good hinges, sound text block with some separation visible between the frontis illustration and half title, text pages quite age-browned but very clearly legible, untrimmed outer edges a little brittle, no names or other markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
