Theresa Ducharme was born in 1945 and in 1953 was struck by polio in that epidemic year. In this small book she recounts her struggle to have an independent life despite a major disability. As an adult she was an advocate for herself and for others with disabilities. Introduction by Lloyd Axworthy.
