London and Sydney: Angus&Robertson, 1983. Not stated. Hardcover. Very Good +. 133 small HC, no DJ, black boards with white title and author on spine, very nice, clean, unmarked copy. Hanabeke was not to be found, but Magnus' adventures and misadventures in search of him create a picture of life in the Australian backblocks. An interesting little book. From various sources I have found that Dudley St. John Magnus served in the British Army in Burma in WWII and later went on to write for the Times of London, the Winnipeg Tribune, and the Winnipeg Free Press, and also appears to have…
