Longmans, Green and Co. New York.,1905. FIRST EDITION. 8vo. (8.3 x 5.7 inches). Illustrated throughout with 51 mono photo views of Turkey, Palestine, Egypt, Malta, Naples and Pompeii. A lovely clean copy finely bound by Blackwells in contemporary full red morocco. Spine with raised bands, ruled in gilt. Compartments double ruled, decorated and lettered in gilt. Double ruled borders on boards. Gilt inner denteles. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Neat previous owners bookplate on front paste down endpaper. A fine copy of this intertesting travelogue.:
