About This Item
Budapest: Akademiai Kiado, 1982. Oversized Paperback. 115p., text consists of long lists of place-names as named by a half-dozen different mapmakers; b&w maps in facsimile; diagrams (holding a map in correct position, map-marks, various lines of inquiry). Item is softbound in 13x9.5 inch pale yellow wraps printed in green and enclosed in a sort of a slipcase. Mild water-damage to every leaf, unfortunately, but no adhesions or stains, just aesthetically an irritating ripple. Laid into this case are some half-dozen folded maps, these are very large and we have not investigated their condition by prying. They look handleable (smooth unbroken folds). Also laid in are xeroxed essays germaine to book, several laid in with maps just described, and a couple more in the book itself along with a pocket guide to the capital ("Program Map, Welcome to Budapest"). In sum, contents water-rippled but remain useful, printed container is rather worn but still contains.
