Langwater has for generations become synonymous with the advancement of the Guernsey. Frontispiece photograph of Frederick Ames. Illustrated with black & white plates, fold-out chart, drawings and tables. Maroon leather flex cloth binding with gilt embossed title on front cover. Small stamp on upper front endpaper, lower title and table of contents pgs., blank old pocket remnant on rear endpaper. Very slight age-related browning to edges. Small rubbed area on spine, slight crease on lower edge of front cover. Deckled pages. Probable first edition- not stated. Scarce.. Leather Flex Cloth Binding. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
