First Edition (1996); First Printing indicated by a complete numerical sequence. Near Fine in Near Fine DJ: Both book and DJ show only minute indications of use. The Book shows a couple of faint smudges at the bottom edge of the text pages and an even fainter smudge at the fore-edge; else flawless; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome, nearly-new copy, showing a single very minor flaw; not quite absolutely pristine, but remains very close to it. In overall appearance, remains virtually "As New". The DJ shows very faint wrinkles at the heel of the backstrip and at the top of the front panel, which also shows just a hint ofd wear along the top edge; else only very mild rubbing to the panels; the price has not been clipped. Overall, very close to 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 4to. (10.25 x 8.25 x 1.25 inches). xxxvii, 378 pages. Sparsely illustrated with photographs of the author and a few tables.
