INSCRIBED & Signed "with Good Wishes" by the Author with a cute drawing of the King, small quarto (10 3/8" x 8 3/8"), glossy pictorial cloth with a colorful bald king putting an egg on his head, cover art repeated on dust jacket (unclipped) painted by Will Hillebrand, who illustrated the book, red endpapers, [32] pages. Mirra Ginsburg (1909 - 2000) was a 20th-century Jewish Russian-American translator of Russian literature, collector of folk tales and children's writer. Will Hillenbrand (born 1960) is a celebrated author and illustrator whose published works include over 60 books for young readers. In addition to his own self-illustrated titles, he has illustrated the works of many authors of children's books. EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION in every way PLUS an original cartoon sketch of the loony King!
