About This Item

Portway, Bath, UK: Cedric Chivers Ltd, 1970. Book. Very Good. Cloth. Reprint Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 303pp, illustrated with b&w photos. A biography of Major "Mick" Mannock, a WW1 British ace. A handwritten comment on the front free end-paper reads as follows:"This book is highly prejudiced, exaggerated, and contradictory. The author seems to think his literary success is proportional to his patronization of Mannock and Great Britain of the era. Quite a surprise for Ira Jones!". The inscription is unsigned. Very Good.
