Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, seventy-two colour plates, and a folding map to the rear. A fascinating work on the county of Kent, with chapters on the cathedral, Canterbury pilgrims, shrines, the coast, noble houses, and much more. Written by W. Teignmouth Shore, an English writer and journalist. Illustrated by William Biscombe Gardner, a British painter and wood-engraver. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the endpapers. A small closed tear to the title page to page V. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
