Collins, London, 1968. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good/Good. Illustrator: Kate Greenaway. 320 pp., introduction by Ruth Hill Vigeurs, biographical sketch by Spielmann and Layard, bibliography and acknowledgements. Illustrated endpapers, showing some delightful Kate Greenaway illustrations. Within the text there are copious reproductions/facsimiles of Kate Greenaway's illustrations. Green cloth boards with gilt illustration on the front panel and gilt writing on the spine. Top edge the yellow -- and book is printed on yellow paper. Shelf wear to bottom edges of book and the head and heel of spine are bumped and rubbed. Some marks on the end papers and some grubby marks to the other edges of the paper. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Kate Greenaway, with blue and black writing on the front panel and black on the spine. Dustwrapper is rubbed and faded and the corners are slightly scuffed. There are grubby marks to all panels. A collection of the best of Kate Greenaway's works, along with an evaluation of her art and a biography as well. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall.
