About This Item

Cleveland, OH The World Publishing Company , 1967. Hardcover Very Good+ in Good+ DJ: Book shows indications of very careful use: just a touch of shelving wear to the lower extremities; a bit of reddish discoloration to the lower front and rear panels; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing mild wear and a couple of minor, unobtrusive flaws. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. Close to 'As New'. The DJ shows light wear to extremities, with several short, closed tears and scant loss to chipping; the price has been clipped; mylar-protected. Remains attractive, showing a few minor flaws - and one a little more serious. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 4to. (10.5 x 8.3 x 1.25 inches). 319 pages. Profusely illustrated mostly in color by Kate Greenaway, but with a few vintage photographs, drawings and designs in black & white. Introduction by Ruth Hill Viguers. Biographical Sketch by M.H. Spielmann and G.S. Layard. Contains also a Selection of Letters from Greenaway's letters to and from John Ruskin. Selections from Anne Carroll Moore's "A Century of Kate Greenaway". Decorated Endpapers. Language: English. Weight: 41 ounces. Selections by A Applepie, Under The Window, Mother Goose, Book of Games, and Marigold Garden. Foreward by Solomon J. Schepps. Decorated endpapers. 94pp. Hardcover with dustwrapper: Selections from Kate Greenaways's A is for Applepie, Book of Games, Marigold Garden, Mother Goose, and Under the Window.
