Kammavaca. KAMMAVACA or KAMMAVASA, KAMMAVA-SA. Burmese relgious book, probaby mid-later 19th Century. Teak wood, lacquered cloth, red lacquer, gold-leaf. Front and back covers of Lacquered and gold-leafed teak, 14 (of likely 16) leaves decorated and lettered on both sides, all elements perforated with a single hole to accomodate a tie for holding the whole togather. 24 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches. In Very Good condition with wear to the bottom cover and a small loss to the edge of one of the sheets.
