First edition of Fallada's first book, inscribed to his sister.


The German writer, Hans Fallada (born Rudolf Wilhelm Friedrich Ditzen; 1893-1947) became known after the publication of his first novel, Der junge Goedeschal.


Present copy is inscribed by the author to her sister, Margarete Becher. As he first used his pseudonym for this book, he signed it "R. H. Ditzen-Fallada".
