An epic poem from Edmund Peel of Bonchurch - with two dedicatory poems "To the Volunteers of England" and "My brother, legends true reveal ..." by his brother Sir Lawrence Peel (1799-1884), Chief Justice of Calcutta, biographer of their cousin, Sir Robert Peel. Foolscap 8vo (19cm). [xii],(262)pp. Original green ribbed cloth, with a pronounced pattern of diagonal beading, ruled, blocked, and lettered in gilt, by Burn, with his ticket; very slight wear to head; chocolate endpapers just slightly strained; mild spotting of prelims, but a very good copy.
