About This Item
Boston: Twayne Publishers, (1986). First edition. An Ex-library copy with very little wear and no unslightly library spine labels. The outside of the book looks like others. On one page in text, there is the library named at bottom crossed-out in black marker, doesn't affect text. Otherwise, very good condition. John Metcalf, known as Blind Jack of Knaresborough or Blind Jack Metcalf, was the first professional road builder to emerge during the Industrial Revolution. Blind from the age of six, Metcalf had an eventful life, which was documented by his own account just before his death. Wikipedia. Very Good.
