Arizona: Arizona pioneers' Historical Society, 1955. Limited Edition. Octavo. Limited to 600 copies. Inscribed by Dunne in the year of publication. The great Southwest travel series number one. 82pp. + index, fold-out map. Black and white mounted frontispiece photograph of San Pedro y San Pablo de Tubutama None of the manuscripts, as offered, has ever before been translated into English. The present volume, Jacobo Sedelmayr, portrays an ardent, energetic and dedicated man, adds a highlight to the tapestry of adventure and exploration that was woven by the soldiers of the Cross and of the Crown in western North America. Father Dunne has preserved the all the fresh vision and immediacy of the original documents through his translation. A fine bright copy bound in beige cloth stamped in gilt, spine lettering gilt, in tan dust jacket lettered and decorated in red and black, stain to right edge of jacket's front panel chipping to head of rear panel. A very nice copy.

Otherwise clean and bright. A nearly pristine copy of an important work never before translated into English. In a near fine original dust jacket. Dust jacket shows one small spot at foot of spine, and a tiny tear on top edge. Dust jacket now protected in a clear, removable, archival cover. Rear fold out map is perfect. 82 pp. plus unnumbered index. Octavo, 6 1/2 x 10 inches tall.
