About This Item
Columbia, South Carolina: University of South Carolina Press, 1992. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. Volume itself has black covers with sharp silver lettering on the spine. 192 pages, including an index of ship names and a general index plus a bibliography. The work is a narrative of the port of Jacksonville's maritime activities from Jean Ribault's landing in 1562 to military shipping for Operation Desert Shield in 1990. Interior is clean, fresh, tight and bright. There is a slight rub on one corner of the book. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality Brodart cover. The back dust flap has a approximate 1/2 inch crease at the lower outer edge and about a 3/4 crease (both measured diagionally) at the top outer edge. They have been straignted out as much as possible and the dj looks quite nice in its protective cover. A very nice copy; available for immediate shipment; carefully packed in a sturdy box.
