New York: Macmillan and Co., 1904. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Dust Jacket. 8.40 x 5.50 x 1.40 inches. Cooper, Gordon Browne and J. D.. Ivanhoe: A Romance. The Waverly Novels: Dryburgh Edition Volume 9 published by Macmillan in conjuction with Adam and Charles Black. Originally published by Macmillan in 1893, then ""carefully collated with Scott's own annotated set in the possession of the publishers ADAM AND CHARLES BLACK, [with many inaccuracies corrected]"". Maroon cloth covered boards show an ornate gold gilt seal on the front board and gold spine titles. Good- condition without a dust jacket. The corners are worn and the indented spine ends are beginning to fray. The binding is rolled forward and is slightly weak, but all pages are intact. Cracked hinges. The interior pages are clean and unmarked. The book will be carefully packaged for shipment for protection from the elements. USPS electronic tracking number issued free of charge. Synopsis

Ivanhoe is a novel by Sir Walter Scott. It was written in 1819 and set in 12th century England, an example of historical fiction. Ivanhoe is sometimes given credit for helping to increase popular interest in the Middle Ages in 19th century Europe and America.
