Mackenzie. Samuel Rogers (1763-1855) was an English poet who was much celebrated during his lifetime. With steel engraved illustrations throughout. Samuel Rogers was an English poet and was much celebrated in his lifetime. However, his fame has since been eclipsed by his Romantic colleagues and friends Wordsworth, Coleridge and Byron. In a green morocco binding with gilt detailing. Externally, sound with some slight shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright with light occasional spots. Binding signed by H. Mackenzie to front pastedown. Ink dedication dated 1832 to front free endpaper. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Very Good
