First Edition (1969), unstated, but implied: no subsequent printings noted, according to Golden West Books' customary practice. Very Good- in Very Good DJ: The Book shows a former owner's name and date inscribed on the rear side of the front free endpaper; just a touch of wear to the head and heel of the backstrip; a couple of tiny spots of soil to the top edge of the text block; the binding is cocked off square, but remains secure; the boards are slightly bowed; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text.. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. A handsome copy, tightly bound, but showing several imperfections. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. The DJ shows wear to the upper extremities, with several tiny tears; moderate rubbing to the panels; the white background field of the rear panel shows faint soiling; unclipped. Attractive and intact, but shows some wear and cosmetic flaws. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 4to (11.3 x 8.7 x 0.85 inches). 207 pages. Profusely illustrated with vintage photographs in black & white; Including Tables, Schedules, etc. Bibliography. Index. Decorated Mapped Endpapers. DJ front panel color painting by famed railroad artist Harlan Hiney. Language: English. Weight: 36.1 ounces. Hardback with DJ. .
