London: Richard Bentley and Son (Publishers in Ordinary to Her Majesty The Queen), 1887. Full-Leather. Near Very Good. Lovely Edition of Ingoldsby's timeless tales with full page plates by Cruikshank, Leech and Barham. Frontis Illustration depicts "the Witches Frolic". Contemporary Brown full leather binding with 5 raised bands and gilt lettering & decoration to spine. Gilt decorative border to front and rear with gilt Heraldic Lion in shield on front centre. Edges and insides of cover have gilt decorative borders. All page edges and Endpapers Marbled. Nice old Presentation Bookplate (not filled in) with the same Lion design pasted to front endpaper. 8" Tall. Only an occasional spot of foxing, most pages clear. Some wear to the leather, mainly around spine edges and corners. Small closed tears at top and bottom right corners of spine. (see photo) Weighs over 1 Kilo so postage outside UK will be a little extra. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall
