About This Item

New York: The Jewish Theological Seminary of America & NBC Religious Programs Unit, 1964. 37p., 8.5x11 inches, lightly-worn and toned mimeographed manuscript on green stock stapled upper-left corner. Boretz was a prolific and award-winning radio, television and film writer. The Eternal Light was a radio and then television series concerning Judaism from 1944 to 1989. This script concerns the journey of Sojourner Truth to freedom. Written for UN Human Rights day it was directed by Martin Hoade and starred Gloria Foster as Sojourner and Frank Schofield as Lincoln. Not listed on Boretz's IMDB site but then he wrote thousands of TV and radio plays between the 1950s and his death in 2010. Also no holdings located in OCLC as of 12/2021 but may be in his papers at Wisconsin Center for Film and Theatre research.
