With 30 plates - (Twenty-Two Hand-Coloured Aquatints) First edition of both titles, two folio volumes bound as 1 (as is common), in half calf over contemporary red marbled boards, some blind tooling, gilt tooling & titles. Internally, 1815, [3], 4-60, [4] Appendix, [1], 62-76 pp, A-B1, [11] text leaves, [1], 2-10 pp, 22 pls (20 of which coloured, 5 folding, 2 portraits & 1 facsimile of signatures), (2nd vol), 2, 1816, [2], [1], 2-34 pp, 5 pls (including 4 coloured, 1 folding, & 1 plan), plates dated 1813/1816, watermarks of 1811 & 1814, short tear to fold line of one plate, some scattered discolouration (very light) throughout, rear flyleaf creased, bookplate & printers label to fpd. Overall, a very good copy. (479*330 mm). (Abbey Life 353 & 354. Tooley 97 & 98). Title for the 2 vol: The Campaign of Waterloo, illustrated with Engravins of Les Quarte Bras, La Belle Alliance, Hougoumont, La Haye Sainte, and other principal scenes of action; including a correct Military Plan, together with A Grand View of the Battle on a large scale. To which is Prefixed A History of the Campaign,....

However this does not mean that automatically goods are sent out on approval. Any return is entirely the responsibility of the returnee, and the Post Office is the preferred carrier. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS You may request to cancel a book order or return a book within 14 days of receipt of the book. A book may be returned for one of the following reasons: Item damaged: The item was damaged during shipping. Item not as described: The condition of the book does not match the description on Madoc Books. Incorrect item delivered: The title, cover or edition of the book is different than the title on the order. Item not received: The estimated delivery date has passed and the book has still not arrived. To cancel a book order or return a book simply contact Madoc with your order confirmation details and to obtain the return address.

DELIVERY DETAILS We ship all of our orders via Royal Mail. Orders are usually shipped within 2 or 3 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized or a multiple in books we will contact you to let you know that extra shipping is required. Insurance costs are usually dictated by the shippers, should they be higher than normal, then we will contact you for your acceptance.
