Thick 8vo.'s Illustrated throuhout with 175 hand-coloured and monochrome plates after engravings. A superb, alebit, incomplete set of Strong's epic work. 49 deliciously handcoloured plates in Volume One ( 1 un-coloured).Plates of Volumes Two and Three are un-coloured. Volume Three ( as well as the lacking Fourth volume are extremely rare. Various mild rubbing and light soiling to covers. Interiors remarkably crisp with only some mild, sporadic foxing innouously affecting several plates.A Very Good set.
