About This Item

HarperCollins, Sydney, 2007. reprint. Softcover. Good Condition. Illustrator: photographs. Preface by author, Mafia Structure, Introduction: Rattus Novegicus and postcript. Between pages 222 and 223 there are eight pages of black-and-white photography. Photographic paper back binding with white coloured titles to the front panel and black-and-white coloured titles to the back strip. Richard Kuklinski was, by his own admission, a contract hitman for the Mafia. For 43 years he plied his trade (and, for an extra fee he would make sure his victims really suffered before dying); to put the police off his trail he would sometimes throw his victims in ice, earning him the name "The Ice Man". This is the story, the story of a devoted family man, albeit one who could turn into an abusive monster, and the hitman; who, was brought down by a Jersey police officer Pat Kane after a six-year investigation. Creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels. The front panel has vertical creases and there are reading creases to the back strip. Age toning and staining of the text block edges and the book has cracked between page 222 and the first black-and-white page of photographs. Size: Trade Paperback. XVIII, 476 pages. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: photographs. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo. Category: True Crime; mafia; USA; Sociology & Culture. ISBN: 0732284961.
