London: Methuen & Co., 1957. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Illustrated dust-jacket, wear to edges and some loss at spine head, but has been preserved in a clear removable cover. Book bound in red cloth with gilt decoration on the front, gilt title, some shelf wear to the very bottom edge but remaining clean bright and square. Remains of library paste-downs and library date stamps to the front end papers and a library stamp to the publisher page. Hinge and text block firm though webbing revealed along he inside edge of title page. Closed page edges browned but internally pages are smooth and clean.
