M'Kendrick. 2 Volume Set in contemporary Quarter Calf Leather binding. Black leather spines with 4 slightly raised bands. Title labels missing from the 2nd compartments, leather is indented to clearly reveal the lettering. Bright gilt decorative design to other compartments. Gilt Maroon textured cloth boards. Page edges marbled. Vol I has a Colour Cutaway Torso together with its Key, pasted to the back endpaper. In very good condition. 682 Pages. Vol II, 672 pages. Nice set, some interesting pictures. Heavy set, weighs 4 Kilos, so postage outside UK will be extra. Please ask if you would like any more pictures, information or a shipping quote. Size: 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall

With full-page plates (mixture of b&w and colour): 18 in Vol. I, 20 in Vol. II. Additional b&w illustrations in text. Fold-out coloured anatomical models at back of Vol. II.Boards rubbed (mainly along edges) and with several small stains and other marks; corners bumped and head/foot of spine crushed. A few pages with finger marks or other marks but generally clean. Anatomical models with some tears and creases but all parts present.

London: Blackie, (1900?). Presumed First edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Two volumes 8vo with an Introduction by John G. M'Kendrick. Pp xxiii + 521 (Volume I) and iv + 523-1104 (Volume II). Illustrated by about 400 figures in the text and a series of engraved plates - 19 full-page plates. Half bound in Morocco with burgundy buckram boards. The spines are stamped in black and gilt with 4 raised bands. All book block edges are marbled. The leather is a little rubbed at the edges. The bindings are tight and the contents are clean and unmarked. There is some superficial surface damage to the leather at some of the corners. A nice set.
