About This Item
New York: Professional Sports Publications, 1975. Magazine. 84p., magazine in 11x8 inch slick-paper format, b&w and color photography throughout plus tables and a multitude of advertisements. Color wraps are detached from the stapled textblock with slight misfolding to front cover along the spinefold, leaving small holes which staples left; textblock has a glaring fault: halfway, right at the centerfold, expect to find a nasty crumpled stain to p.42 (upon an ad for the AMC Pacer), with a lesser crumple on its verso (i.e., p.41). The damage resembles the dried-out effect of a wet food item laid in to moulder. Were this not a remarkably early souvenir of what has become a remarkably popular pastime, item would be lost to landfill, despite the bulk of the magazine leaves being in good clean shape. As is, all text fully legible, unmarked by any ownership or institutional mark.
