A interesting volume illustrative of the movement and development of English literature from the days of the Restoration period, through to the age of Defoe, Johnson, and the literature of the Decadence. Rebound in full calf prize binding with five raised bands, titles in gilt to morocco spine label, gilt tooling to spine, marbled edges and endpapers. Externally with shelf wear, bumped to head and tail of spine, rubbed to spine and joints. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to first and last few leaves, pages otherwise generally bright and clean. Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
