Sterling condition hardcover copy, handsomely produced as per usual Franklin Library Limited Edition standards, with unbruised tips, tight binding, and clean internals, showing only the slightest shelf- and edge-wear. Featuring moire endpapers, bound-in silk ribbon bookmark, raised bands, all edges gilt, some flaking as per usual, but bound with a rich, colorful dark brown leather binding, classy gilt decoration to cover and spine. Illustrated by Frank C. Pape with 24 fine examples of his work, plus decorated initials and chapter heads. Translated from the original French by John M. Cohen. 715 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
