Paris: Louis Janet / Delaunay, 1819. 2nd Edition . Leather Bound. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavo. 388 pages. Hardcover bound in quarter red leather with marble paper over boards. Binding is rubbed and bumped but sound with secure hinges. Black spotting to the tile page (ink or spider droppings) and several pencil markings on the back end paper. The text is toned but otherwise clean and unmarked. Text is in French. Title translates to "History of the Island of Santo Domingo, from its Discovery to the Present Day; Followed by Supporting Documents.
