Includes eleven shortened stories from "Stories of New France". The other six - "The Discovery of America," "The Story of Breboeuf," "The Story of Michillimackinac," "The Last Siege of Quebec," "The Story of Brock," and "The Story of Tecumseh" - were specially written for these pages. - from Preface. Title in gilt upon front board. Upper two inches of backstrip missing with openings two inches below. Leather detached from front board. Back fixed endpaper detached from back board.
