About This Item
London: Victor Gollancz Ltd, 1966. Octavo. . 426pp., The publisher's present three stories. Two of the stories presented for the first time, Puppet Masters is one of his most famous. The Puppet Masters are invaders from another world who bring with them parasitic slugs which an dominate man's physical and mental being. Waldo is the irascible, wacky, ribald character with a peculiar muscle deficiency but a brilliant mind and Magic, Inc is a rollicking fantasy taking place sometime in the far future when businessmen use magic in their daily work as easily as they walk across a street. A near fine copy bound in red paper covered boards, spine lettering gilt, lower corners only very slightly bumped, just a bid of foxing to upper fore-edge, in unclipped yellow dust jacket lettered in black and red with just a touch of foxing to upper edge of front flap. Very nice.
