Bound in the publishers black hard covers with bold gilt title lettering to spine this is the First Edition of the adult format which had a very small production run of only 10% of total publication, hence quite a scarce book. The 766 pages are in excellent condition throughout with no inscriptions and are squarely bound. The book sits solid and square. Housed in the distinctive dustwrapper produced exclusively for the adult version with the publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Dustwrapper design by William Webb and jacket image by Michael Wildsmith with a black and white photograph of J.K. Rowling to the rear panel. The dustwrapper illustration is the eyecatching bronze phoenix rising from the flames with a charcoal grey background. Book printed in Great Britain by Clays Ltd, St Ives. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. The photograph provided is a picture of the book and the dustwrapper and we are happy to send more images on request. Synopsis

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the fifth book in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. The story follows Harry, who has been ostracized by the wizarding world after reporting the return of the evil Lord Voldemort. As Harry begins his fifth year at Hogwarts, he forms a secret organization, "Dumbledore's Army," to prepare for Voldemort's return. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Magic seeks to discredit Harry and his allies, causing tensions to rise. The book culminates in a battle at the Ministry, where Harry and his friends confront Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
