Hardcover book bound in the publisher's original full decorative cloth gilt. 23 cm. 406 pp. Contains 6 full-page color plates as well as numerous interior b/w illustrations by Charles W. Reed. In very good+ condition. Contemporary gift inscription present on the front loose end page. Front hinge cracked but holding strong. Some light scattered spotting/foxing to the front/back matter. A few pages show stains at their extremities. Small bookseller's label affixed to the rear paste down. Moderate wear/rubbing/soiling to the cloth covers. Overall, a very handsome copy of a scarce book.
