Light red cloth with black and gilt spine panels, only light wear and marking, 8 full page colour illustrations, endpaper designs and jacket by Shirley Hughes, a little dust to edges, but otherwise an excellent copy, sprawling dedication in ink to half-title, d/w with full colour wraparound artwork is near fine, with only very slight rubbing; unusually, the book comes with the scarce blue card SLIPCASE with clear glassine front panel, that has some rubbing and creasing.. First Thus. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Illus. by Shirley Hughes.
