About This Item

Garden City: Doubleday & Company, Inc, 1952. First Edition. Near Fine/About Very Good. First edition. 122 pp. Original cloth lettered in white. Near Fine with rubbed bottom edge in About Very Good price-clipped dust jacket with tear at head and two pieces of archival mending tissue on verso holding it in place, spine sunning, some small chips, creases and tears. This book is best known for its dust jacket design by Vincent Nucera with a photo by Lotte Jacobi; the paperback edition's illustrated cover mimicked it with a dejected young woman hiding her face in shame.
