Alfred Gotch. In the original publisher's red cloth binding with decorative gilt to the front board and spine. Illustrated throughout the text with photographs and in-text drawings and diagrams. With a monochrome plate as the frontispiece. Contents of this architectural history include 'The Later Manor House of the Middle Ages' and 'Elizabethan and Jacobean Houses'. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the very occasional spot. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
