About This Item
London: Macmillan, 1948. This is the third, of multiple volumes, of the autobiography of Osbert Sitwell (1892-1969), a man who evidently knew everyone of importance in England. Clean text; 324 pages, includes appendices and index. Illustrated with photographs and eight commissioned paintings by John Piper. Minor scattered spotting, confined to endpapers and fore-edge. The dustwrapper has the caveat ".must not be circulated in the British Isles, the United States of America or Canada." Quercus ponders just where the market might have been for this book. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Second Printing.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good Plus. Illus. by John Piper.
