Presentation inscription on title page: "Complimentary To the John Mathes, next time light and talk - Caroline Sandoz Pifer." Good. Fictional narrative of a council held in September 1875. Edited and with a foreword by Caroline Sandoz Pifer, the younger sister of Mari, who preserved her older sister's personal papers and arranged for publication several unpublished manuscripts left by Mari.
