Binding and hinges sound. A little tanning to endpapers and previous owner's name. Slight bowing to original green cloth boards. The gilt titles and ornamentation are bright. Spine stout with very little wear and no tears to head, foot or edges. A very handsome, sound copy.

Collated, complete. Meteyard was an English painter and stained glass designer. Longfellow was a nineteenth century American poet best known for his works 'Paul Revere's Ride' and 'Evangeline'. With gilt to the front board and spine. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The hinges are slightly strained. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot. The tissue guards are present and intact. Very Good
